Your role

FMO is seeking for an experienced and enthusiastic Scrum Master to enable our teams to work as effectively as possible. As a Scrum Master you are making sure that the scrum values are upheld, while continuously improving the processes and practices to deliver high-quality results. You are a bridge builder and servant-leader who will work closely with the team to guide them towards success through the adoption of Agile principles and practices. Also, together with the agile coach and other scrum masters, you actively participate in the scrum master community and make sure that the agile way of working is fully embraced within the tech-enabling teams of FMO.

Your key responsibilities are:

• Ensuring that all Scrum events take place in a positive and productive way.
• Helping the team to continuously improve their processes and practices and ensuring that they are aligned with the Scrum framework.
• Removing any obstacles or impediments that may be affecting the team's productivity or progress.
• Promoting collaboration and communication between team members and stakeholders.
• Supporting the team in achieving their goals and delivering value to the customer.
• Actively listening to the team's concerns and facilitating constructive discussions and problem-solving.
• Helping the team to become self-managing and cross-functional.
• Assisting the organization in its agile transformation and Scrum adoption.

Our offer

• Compensation package based on your experience: 60-80K, annual gross pay depending on your experience.

Your team

As a Scrum Master you will be coaching agile teams. These are cross-functional teams within FMO's tech enabling departments. Next to the teams, you will collaborate closely within a team of other Scrum Masters and an Agile Coach. Leveraging everyone's talents, this team strives to embed Agile practices further into the organization step by step. Within this team, self-reflection and sharing experiences and best practices are key to facilitate continuous learning. This is a collaborative effort that allows to evolve as a team, enhancing organizational agility based on Agile principles.

Your background

You are an energetic and pro-active person who has the leadership skills to lead and facilitate the Scrum ceremonies, promoting collaboration and guiding the team(s) to be highly effective. You guide the team(s) towards self-management and stimulate continuous improvement by using your excellent communication skills. You are experienced in coaching and mentoring, both on team level but also on individual level. When a conflict arises, you are not afraid to step in and have challenging conversations, both within the team or in the broader organization.

You also have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 4+ year of work experience as a Scrum Master.
• A Scrum Master certification such as PSM I and II or CSM.
• Proven experience with facilitating and coaching teams in complex environments.
• Cultural sensitivity since you will be working with colleagues from many different nationalities.
• Good command of the English language both verbally and in writing.
